This is one of the most difficult letters that I have ever written. I feel terrible but I want to apologize to you for letting Ana know about your health condition which you had specifically asked me to keep a secret.
We were generally discussing about the travel plans for the coming year and I foolishly mentioned about your surgery which is due the next month without realizing that I am revealing too much and it is going to affect your relationship with her.
I know that this was not my news to share but I swear that I had no intentions of doing so and all of it just slipped out of my mouth. I understand that you shared this information with me considering me your best friend and I was supposed to keep it a secret but I failed. And I have no words to tell you how bad I am feeling right now.
I know that you are very upset with me and I don’t blame you. All I can do is ask for forgiveness from you and I will do anything to make up to you.
The only hope that I have right now is to regain your trust. Your friendship is very precious to me and I cannot afford to lose a friend who is my childhood buddy. I hope our friendship continues despite what I did.
