The probability that a person A who is now 25 years old, lives for another 30 years is 2/5; and the probability that the person B who is now 45 years old lives for another 30 years is 7/16. Fins the probability that at least one of these persons will be alive 30 years.
The average number of articles produced by two machines per day is 200 and 250 with standard deviation 20 and 25 respectively on the basis of records of 25 days production. Can you regard both the machines equally efficient at 1% level of significance?
