Employee Walk in Interview Process
A walk-in interview is a job screening process that is conducted by big shot companies without prior appointments or scheduled meetings. You only need to reach the venue at the given time and be interviewed on spot. These interviews are normally relatively short.
There are two types Walk in Interview which are discussed as follows:
1. Sharp
During Sharp Walk in interview a particular time, date and venue is decided on which the interview process starts.
Therefore, if the interview says, 10.00 am sharp, it will start at 10.00 am sharp.
2. From to
In From to Walk in interview, specific duration of time slot is decided. Interview process is conducted within the mentioned time. Say from 10.00-6.00pm.

Preparation for a Walk in interview
- Fix a convenient Date, Time and Venue f or the Interview process
- Check if your Panel Members are available on the fixed date.
- Make sure you gather all the required Equipments from Admin Department (Projector, Stationary) well in advance.
- Conduct Mass Mailing& Job posting. The Mass mail template should explain in detail the following:
- Company details
- Job Details like Job Description, Experience, and Location etc.
- Interview details like Rounds of interview, Day, Date, time Venue & Point of Contact
- Documents you will require like Photos, Certificates etc.
- Get ready with the Company Presentation.
- Prepare in advance the Interview Assessment Sheets.
- Prepare question sheets for written test.
Preparation for the Actual interview Process
- A Presentation is normally set for candidates when they reach the venue in the mentioned Sharp time.
- The presentation normally includes Introduction of the Person, Company profile (Objective, Vision, Mission, Projects, and Achievements) in brief & Job Profile
- A Written test is conducted after the presentation session. This is normally done when there is a heavy influx of Candidates and it is not possible to conduct verbal interview.
- Technical round is conducted by the Technical Team for candidates who could clear the written test.
- The next in line is the HR round.
- It is only after been qualified in the HR round, candidates are handed over the offered Letters.
- Offer letters are dispatched on the same day or on the next day. The concern company normally decides on this criterion.

Interview Process
I/ INTERVIEW ROUNDS
1. First-Round Interview
The first-round interview is an in-depth conversation between HR dept and candidates to check basic requirements of experience and skills relate to job specification.
2. Second interviews
This round is conducted between line manager, HR manager …and candidates to check background and technical competencies of candidate.
3. Final interview
This round usually conduct between director and candidate. This round also include discussion about compensations and benefits.
II/ INTERVIEW PROCESS:
1. Before the Interview
• Inform interview plan to all participants
• Prepare all interview forms, equipment, book interview room.
• Determine your options – which skills are vital as opposed to convenient.
• If other people are going to be involved in the interview process, make sure they have taken the time to prepare for the interview.
• Have detailed information about the candidate.
• Each person should have a couple of overlap questions to provide insight on the prospective employee’s responses.
• Have company information available for candidates.
• Allow plenty of time for the interview.
2. During the Interview
• Interview the person.
• Tell the candidate what to expect in the hiring process.
• Tell them your expectations: experience expected, career advancement, training, duties the direction the department is headed in.
• Show the candidate where they would fit into the organization.
• Ask questions that are, broad, job-related, objective, meaningful, direct, clear, open-ended, understood & related.
• Be open and honest with the candidate.
• Don’t talk money.
3. Closing the Interview
• Insure that you and the candidate have concluded on common ground.
• Review the next steps with a clear and honest timetable (and stick to it).
• Be friendly and honest to the end of the interview; don’t give false encouragement or go into details for rejection.
• Ask if she/he has any other questions.
• At the end of the interview, if you are interested in the candidate, let them know.
4. After the Interview
• Rate the applicant on a 1-5 scale as a potential employee.
• Discuss the candidates reaction and interest.
• Take time to update the next person in the interview process.
