Arrow What Managers Can Do To Motivate Others

Hello All,

I want to share few facts about principles of motivation and what managers can do to motivate others-

1. Positive thoughts motivates
what managers can do- When the group you lead attain its goals, share/advertise its success with others. Thank individuals for the success of group.

2. Feeling important motivates
what manager can do- Ask people for their opinion and listen intently to what they say. Try to involve them in the process of value addition. always give credit when you use somebody's idea.

3. Enjoyment Motivates
What manager can do- Try to find out what people like to do and when possible have them to do so.

4.Personal Benefits Motivates
What manager can do- Competitive pay structure , good rewards & recognition policy, incentive plans, transparent appraisal systems.

5. Clarity motivates
What manager can do- Clear & reasonable goals , written JD for all.

I hope it would be useful for all HR people looking forward creating a motivated workforce in the company, please do share your views with me.
