Recently i have written NTPC exam, there was a question in that, plz answer me...

An employee's monthly salary is 5000, OT is 4000 and bonus is 3000. so, what will be his esi contribution? please clarify for both employee and employer share of contribution...

Hi Rajeev,

First of thanks a putting up a good question. According to me ESI contribution we have to take ESI on 12,000. It is really a good question. I will certainly take sometime and will come to you to confirm my answer.

Employee contribution is 1.75% and Employer is 4.75%.
