Default Circular On Construction Workers under ESIC

Dear All

Construction workers ARE NOT covered UNDER ESIC. This was promulgated vide ESIC circular No. P-12(11)-11/27/99 Ins.IV dated 14-6-1999.

Despite having tried my level best I am not able to get a copy of the circular. Will any one of help me on this front as the same is v.v. urgent?

Thanks in advance
Gunjan

Hi to all,

I think workers engaged in construction work in the premises of the company should be liable for esic deudction. It is responsibility of the principal employer. I am giving official referance of esicoimbatore.org .sorry.the act building and other construction workers act is of 1996 and not1006
sorry for the wrong year mentioned

Please click on following link
