Lightbulb Need help on change in practice

Dear Friends,
I need your help on the following issue:

We have our products get packed on carboys. Currently this is done by company workers on norms basis, which is no way viable considering business requirements. We need to get the entire batch packed online so that we can increase the capacity utlisation considerably and also a process requirement.

The norms are very hindarance for business requirement and on the negotiation point this holds key for Union.

We are planning to get the job outsourced to third party to maintain the continuity of production.

Can you please suggest on the legal implications and the resistance from the Union.

There will be no threat to any of the existing workmen in that section as they will be accommodated elsewhere as we have limited man power.

Currently our wage negotiation is underway and we are planning to push through this with the Union.

Further this job falls within Maharashtra Mathadi Act.

I understand many industries have done this.

If any of you have already done this or have clear idea, pl pass on your valuable input.

Waiting your reply eagerly every moment as this is very important to us.
Thanks,
Rane
