Since the last two years, the Government of my country has decided to privatize the Electricity and water sector. As I believe, this will require so many dramatic and strategies management changes. Based on this plan, I have decided to do my DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) on “Change Management”. My thesis will discuss the changes required to transfer the electricity sector from public to private sector. The main objective will be focused on the main changes that will be essentially required before privatize this sector.

Please provide me your opinions and your experience on this regards.

First of all this is a good step towards exploring new things

Points to be taken into consideration are as follows:

1) As such India has also initiated the privatization of Power Sector in terms of generation and supply of Power way back in 80's itself. To have the information of the moves you can refer "Central Electricity Authority Act 1948" of India
2) Understand the methodology of operations in State and Central Organizations in India by referring to "State Electricity Regulatory Commission" and "Central Electricity Regulatory Commission" topics in google
3) Collect the information of the topics like Utility Power Plants, Captive Power Plants, Independent Power Plant, Co-generation Power Plants, Merchant Power Plants
4) Once you get the working process of all the above, now start working on the info. how Omanese Government is initiating the change and the acts that they are bringing into force
