Default Make a Career out of Your Love of Writing

Content writing has opened an arena for those with a flair for writing and is giving tough competition to the world of print, says Sourina Bose

A senior content writer, Deepanjan Charkraborty loves his job. Ask him about the hours, and he says has seven hours of regular work. And just when you thought that he had it good, he adds: “The work pressure’s also flexible.”

Welcome to the world of content writing. With fewer salaries to pay than print media and content which is sometimes virtually free, content writing has opened an arena for people who possess a flair for writing.

The internet has given an opportunity for the voice of ordinary citizens to reach a larger audience giving rise to the citizen-journalist. When it comes to jobs in content writing, most firms prefer candidates from the humanities, teaching or journalism.

If you want to make money in content writing, then the first choice would be working for an IT organisation.
