Hi Gauri,

Q. Please tell me the ways to analyse the training need in an organization.
I think it is through-
1. survey or questionnaire method.
2. Job performance gap.
3. Individual analysis etc. i.e individual feedbacks.

A. The other methods are:-

1. Business Goals & Targets- Achievement data:- Here if you can compare the data with competetitors in terms of Sales Target & achievement etc.

2. Observe & observe - This is the most critical & yet un-utilised method.

3. Assess the failures

4. Develop competency models - what traits, values & behaviours are required to give top performance & assess the members. Interview the top performers in terms of competency and benchmark the low performers vis-a-vis top performers.

5. Exit interviews: You can get the information about training progs if the interviews are handled properly & with sensitivity.

6. The most important tool :- The customer feedback!.
